Topuria hopes for superfight with Makhachev after next fight

Ilia Topuria said that a bright win in his next fight could make a superfight with Islam Makhachev relevant again. He plans to knock out Paddy (Jack Della Maddalena) in his next octagon appearance.

Topuria believes that everything could then fall back into place. He argued that fighters are judged by their most recent result.

Topuria is ranked first in the UFC lightweight division with a 17-1-0 record. Islam Makhachev is the UFC welterweight champion with a 29-1-0 record. Jack Della Maddalena, who is 18-4-0, is ranked fourth at welterweight.
